The Montblanc Writers Edition Homage to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Limited Edition is dedicated to one of the most celebrated detective novelists and creator of the famous detective Sherlock Holmes. Crafted from precious gray-blue resin, the edition evokes the sinister, foggy atmosphere of London, where Sherlock Holmes solved his cases. The barrel and cap of this edition are decorated with a tartan pattern reminiscent of Holmes' coat and part of a historical map of London. The initials JB are found under the PVD-finished magnifying glass-shaped clip, a homage to Joseph Bell: the man who inspired the character of Sherlock Holmes. The Montblanc emblem in precious resin adorns the cap of this edition. The handcrafted Au 750 solid gold nib features an engraving of flying dinosaurs from "The Lost World" around the portrait of the father of "Professor Challenger" and "Sherlock Holmes"
